There are many highly professional Reiki Masters with a comprehensive knowledge of Reiki and are willing to pass on the keys of Reiki. There are three levels of Reiki and A Reiki Master Teacher is one who has completed all three levels of Reiki.
It is not essential to complete all levels of Reiki to be able to heal yourself and others. Reiki is also available by distance education. Now days Reiki training is available by many methods including distance attunements and self attunements with the assistance of books and Dvd's. Reiki Training - The Attunement or Initiation Process The skill of Reiki is passed down from teacher to student, which everyone can learn – no special skills are required. The only essential prerequisite is a genuine desire and willingness to learn Reiki. A Reiki Master can attune a student to Reiki by doing a sacred Reiki Attunement. This can be done face to face or via distant energy using a complete home learning system of Reiki and Touch. The Attunement opens the channel for life force energy to flow on desire. Following the Reiki Attunement the student is attuned to Reiki energy for life. Reiki empowers the giver and receiver at the same time to heal the whole body on all levels - Mind, Body and Spirit. As a Reiki Attunement is a sacred and special event it is essential to prepare the ceremony. Following the preparation for the ceremony a person follows the procedure written in note form or follows the guidance from a DVD. There is no correct or proper way to learn Reiki. The effectiveness of energy healing Reiki and Attunements is in the desire, intent and respect given to Reiki healing energy. Once a person is attuned they are a Reiki Master and are able to perform energy healing Reiki on themselves and others.
